Our fur baby is almost 11 years old, a diabetic, and his little legs aren’t the best. I couldn’t wait to receive this bed for him. He is short, but around 25 lbs, and this bed was a bit easier for him to get in and out of, compared to the one he had. The orthopedic comfy memory foam joint relief bolster dog bed is very well made, and the material on the bolster edges seems like it would last a long time, and not get holes as easily as a cloth bed would. When it’s time to wash it, just remove the cover and throw it in your washing machine. So far he seems to be enjoying his new bed. I ordered a Medium, and I'm pretty sure I got a Large. It's bigger than the Medium size bed, and since it's for my kitten, I'm really hoping he grows into it! I have this exact same bed in a medium size that I purchased years ago, and the foam in that one is a LOT thicker than the foam in the one I received from Groupon. I'm not sure if that's a change in production/quality by Furhaven products, but I do wish the foam was thicker, especially for such a large bed. My kitten seems to like it, so I'm keeping it, even though it's HUGE for him.
My two dogs, who are very particular about laying on blankets and pillows, both gravitated to this bed as soon as I put it out for them. They love the combination of the orthopedic bed with the soft and fuzzy plush covering on it and will stay there for hours, when they used to only curl up on the couch with a blanket with a human. I ordered this after my 60lb Golden girl refused to leave my sister’s Golden’s bed over the holidays. My sister told me where she got it and I ordered my girl one immediately! It is a nice thick bed with a very soft cover. I got the beige/cream color, which has a little bit more yellow tinge to it than I’d like, but it still matches our home decor & her hair color the best out of the options. My 16 year old dog loves this bed! I could tell the difference after the first night he slept on this bed. The next morning he woke up and wasn’t stiff like he was normally with his other dog bed. You can tell this new bed is helping his joints. So thankful I purchased this bed for him! He is so comfortable now! Although I did not keep the one I ordered, I still think it os a great product. My 8 year old shih tzu is arthritic and needed a better bed. This is a very firm bed. It would best fit a dog above 40 pounds or so. My girl only weighs 20 and it was just too firm fir her. It is well made, good zippers and removeable washable cover. This large doggie orthopedic sofa bed is the best bed I've bought for my boxer. He loves this bed. The first night of sleeping on this bed was the best night for me…why…because He didn't wake me up until 9am instead of 7:30 am to go out to potty. The "cooling" side of the mattress is a lie. I know how cooling mattresses looks like and yours just have the color but not a cooling layer. My dog is very hot in his new bed during hot days and sleeps on the floor. Therefore, I feel cheated for having paid almost $50 for this bed. Also, the cover material is synthetic which naturally created heat and on top of a synthetic sponge creates a really too hot environment for my dog. The material is slippery so my elderly dog can hardly get up. The only reason I gave two stars is that the shape and height are good. Still, sizes you provide are inadequate and not a reflection of dog needs which is strange when Furheaven is in this business. My Yorki is a normal size. Yet, when I bought small which you recommend according to the size and weight chart as well as the sleeping area measurements you provided,he can fit well provided he is all the time in something like a fetus position and he doesn't move much. He cannot stretch or lie down in such a way so as to have at least an inch of space between himself and the sides of the bed. Dogs sometimes sleep in a stretched position and do need some extra space. Dogs also move during the sleep, swirl around, wiggle. So I had to get him a medium size which is really too big for him and the space where we keep it in our apartment but I am happy he has some extra space. Humans don't sleep in beds which are exactly their size. Standard beds even if a twin size have some extra space on all four sides because nobody stays in one position during the night. We absolutely LOVE this bed!!! It is extremely well made with separate zippered compartments for the bolster and bed padding. This makes it very easy to wash the cover and not the padding. I highly recommend the "Convoluted Orthopedic Foam" Mattress. As we live in California where the weather is warmer, the "Quilted" Cover material has been perfect all year round. This is actually our second bed that we bought. The first bed we bought for our an older dog who was starting to get arthritis and have back issues. This is a well made dog bed. Easy to put together, very comfortable for my dog, stays cleaner than other dog beds, easy to remove and wash. I have a labrador retriever and initially got the large size, but exchanged it for the jumbo. The large size was a good size, but upon watching him sleep, i found out he likes to stretch out. Yes the jumbo size is very large and requires a lot of space in your room, but it is worth it to see him stretch out or curled up in his very comfy bed. A little pricey but he is worth it. I tried other beds and they are of inferior quality and won't last long. I highly recommend it. For your reference my dog is about 73 Lbs and measured 40 inches when laying down and lightly curled. My 13 year old Lab was going for spirited 2 mile walks 4 months ago but alas, age it seems has finally caught up with my dearest and closest friend. I have been through numerous beds and this one by far is the best. I was looking for something that wouldn't wear down and get flattened from use within mths. I was also looking for a waterproof liner as our Dane sometimes has accidents at night. This bed is just like a human mattress and the foam is lined to keep accidents out. Many beds have uncomfortable material that is used for the waterproofing, this bed has regular material for comfort where the dog lays and has a separate soft layer of waterproofed material around the foam mattress. Both can be taken off easily and washed. I ended up getting more than one bed as they are so well made and large enough for our Dane to sprawl out on and have the support under her.Pros: looks, support, water resistantCons: expensive

I ordered this item for my dog's kennel. When I first received it, it was very soft and comfy. I've had it about 2 weeks now, and it's still soft, but has lost some of it's fluff. These beds are super soft, hold up well to washing so far, and nice and light weight without losing their cushion.My only disappointment was I had hopped the sides would be a little firmer when both bolsters are up to make the bed deeper, but unless they're supported by crate walls, they tend to sag out. I specifically purchased them on the hopes that I could use them for newborn chihuahua litters, but the edges are week enough the babies can wiggle out, but then can't get back in. They certainly didn't advertise that they were more rigid, I was just hoping lol! You can wash the outside of the bed fan but the inside is a paper bag filled with chopped up foam that can't be washed. i dont about everyione but I'll bet there goes outside and gets stinky. why would you sell a bed without a serviceable liner in it. I am thinking about throwing the inside bag away and buying another bed from a dufferent company that i can put inside that can be washed. The problem is that dog loves it ir i would throw it away. i have resirted to putting a large garbage bag over the stinky part so she can still use it until I can do better. To much work. This probably isn’t the review you’d expect, but my daughter LOVES this bed. When she was a few months old, we went on a family vacation and in lieu of spending $180 for a DockATot, we purchased this instead. This bed has literally been her obsession since that trip. Any time she sees it (even when I bring it downstairs to wash), she starts panting like a dog and rushes over to try and lay on it. We used it past the vacation and put it into her crib at home. She’s 20 months old now, and we’re trying to transition her to a toddler bed, but she keeps tossing and turning all night because she loves this dang dog bed so much and her regular toddler mattress just isn’t good enough for her. I came here to figure out what the minky fabric is that covers this darn bed so I can buy a fitted sheet of the same/similar texture to try and appease her and figured I would leave a review while I was here. We bought an extra when she was in daycare because she was having a rough time during nap time. It shrunk in size! Very disappointed in this purchase. They are making them smaller and the height is only 6 in compared to what the dimensions on the site saying 8 inches tall, they should be careful about that. I had reservations on buying an 'expensive' bed for my dog, but with a recent gift certificate, I decided to go for it. My dog, a Jack Russell, is picky about her beds so I didn't know how she would react to a new one. After checking this bed over throughly, she hopped into it and hasn't looked back. She loves it! She's 5 1/2 years old and since she spends her days in my kitchen, I decided to get her something that would give her good support. My happy Jack, is 20 lbs. I have old dogs (15, 16 & 16). They are set in their ways, and I have purchased many, many (many!) failed dog beds that looked heavenly to me but like a pile of nails to my dogs. Not so this bed–they LOVE IT. The cover comes off easily, goes back on easily, and it washes up well. Yes the large bed takes up lots of floor but it also keeps the dogs out from underfoot and I consider that an acceptable trade-off. It has been so successful that I am now purchasing a new bed (large or medium) to donate to every online auction of the breed I support, a twice a year event.Sally H
The photo and description seemed to be exactly what I was looking for for our 10 yr old dobie and the price was OK but I am very disappointed with this bed. The bed itself is flimsy and not the quality I was expecting. The foam is not 3 inches deep it is approximately 2 – 2 1/4 inches and does not feel or look like medical grade orthopedic foam – it is not dense/heavy. The bolstered sides seem to be OK except, again, not dense. As far as high grade soft velvet and super soft micro fleece, it is soft but certainly not high grade. These are great beds. They were a little bigger than I expected, as I was looking to put them inside their cage and they don't fit, but they are great quality. Got two different colors, and both colors look great. The dogs like to lay down on the couch but now they are starting to lay down on these beds more often. Open Opening the package, I couldn't believe that this bed was for my dog. The craftsmanship is nice. Although I had read the description, and specs on the bed, I had no idea that it was so well put together. Atlas (my French Bulldog) immediately jumped in once I set it on the ground, and fell asleep. I was looking for a bed with sturdy sides, because he loves to have something to prop his head up when he sleeps, and this is perfect. I have had this product for, maybe 3 hours, and my dog keeps going back to it. I have the medium/brown one, and it goes well with my decor. Really nice pet bed, aaaaalmost perfect but not quite. The good: the side bolsters are nicely structured with a squared off shape (as opposed to a tube on some cheaper construction), and they're well stuffed. The bottom of the bed zips open nice and wide for the memory foam insert to go in, and the zipper operates smoothly as well so there's no fighting to get the foam stuffed in. The bottom of the whole bed is a non-slip material and it actually really does stop the bed from slipping around on my hardwood floor. What keeps it from being perfect: I wish the bolster stuffing was removable instead of permanently stitched in for easier washing and drying. But this is me being picky.Ald1234
Kirby is 13 and developing arthritis. He needed a sturdy, couch-like bed. I ordered a few on Amazon but returned them all because they were so cheap! I’m so glad I found this one; it’s 100% worth the cost. Of course, I had to lay on it to test it out and WOW! I think this is comfier than our couches. The removable foam pad is super thick. It’s like a TempurPedic material, though, so washing will deteriorate it quickly. I decided to leave the whole foam pad in the plastic bag it came rolled up in. I zippered it in the bed just like that, hoping I’ll keep drool, water, etc from soaking into the foam. Yeah, it sounds kinda like a diaper when Kirby moves around but I don’t mind. The bed itself is supposedly washable; however, the bolsters don’t come off so we’ll see how that goes when the time comes. I keep the whole bed wrapped in a sheet for extra protection. Pictures attached. As you can see, Kirby absolutely loves it and has plenty of room to sprawl out in any position. Thank you, BB&B for providing a QUALITY bed for my old man. If properly taken care of, I think this bed will last years!
This is an excellent bed for my dogs, its large enough for each of them with room to spare(golden retriever, german shepherd and black lab) and is soft and comfortable! Of course after opening I had to lay on it to try it out and man, I wish my bed was as nice as this! Quality seems exceptional so I expect it to last for years. Dont know how itll do with dirt and stains but the cover comes off easily to wash so I'm not too worried. Would recommend, your pets will love it! Absolutely the most fantastic doggy bed for my little 6 pound Yorkie. Purchased the small which is actually larger than I thought, but is the perfect size allowing for him to lay stretched out if he likes vs. having to be curled up all the time like is the case with some other small bolster donut beds. The fur length & super soft, silky feel, the depth of the bed, the little “snuggle pockets” he can nuzzle under – all the way around, this bed checks all the boxes. Added bonus? The Fur Haven pet bed is better than I imagined. The cover is not the natty fleece that traps pet hair most similar beds are constructed of. The Fur Haven bed has a soft silky feel covering, is stuffed just soft enough and surprisingly lightweight, but NOT flimsy. I’m confident this will wash up nicely when the time comes. The price point is reasonable. I have owned dogs for decades – tried every pet bed possible (except the $200 plus beds). I mistakenly purchased 2. But actually glad I did. The bed is super soft and comfortable. Sometimes I find myself laying in it. My dog loves to rest and sleep in it. I now have two… one for the bedroom and one for the living room. I love that you can remove the cover and wash it as well. The customer service by FurHaven is amazing as well! The filling in one of the beds became flat, and another that I'd ordered had a hole in it, that they ended up sending me an entire new bed for free!
