I have 4 pets and they refuse to use this. I have even put catnip on it so that maybe my cat would use it and she is refusing to use it as well. They are all scared of it, it is lumpy and slides all over the floor so they can't even get into it and then it scares them when it moves. I got one of these beds (36” XL) for my pup who has separation anxiety. When she isn’t sleeping in bed with me, she is snuggled into her faux fur bed. The bottom is not very cushy but decent. We have a 55-60 lb dog and the 30×30 is way too big to be comfy but the next size smaller was cramped. I thought the fluffy fabric would be thicker but it is a bit thin for my taste. It does seem to be well constructed though. Do not stick this size in a large home dryer as it is too big and the heat will matte the fluffy strands (almost like melting) from the heat because it cannot move around enough. Got this bed for an older 50 lb. dog needing a soft place to lay, also got another 4-5 inch thicker orthopedic bed for her.As soon as we opened and laid this bed out she got on it and didn't get off of it except to go out to the bathroom, then came right back to the bed. It gives a little from her lying on it but I just shake it out to fluff it up. The first night of sleeping on this bed was the best night for me…why…because He didn't wake me up until 9am instead of 7:30 am to go out to potty. The "cooling" side of the mattress is a lie. I know how cooling mattresses looks like and yours just have the color but not a cooling layer. My dog is very hot in his new bed during hot days and sleeps on the floor. Therefore, I feel cheated for having paid almost $50 for this bed. Also, the cover material is synthetic which naturally created heat and on top of a synthetic sponge creates a really too hot environment for my dog. The material is slippery so my elderly dog can hardly get up. The only reason I gave two stars is that the shape and height are good. Still, sizes you provide are inadequate and not a reflection of dog needs which is strange when Furheaven is in this business. My Yorki is a normal size. Yet, when I bought small which you recommend according to the size and weight chart as well as the sleeping area measurements you provided,he can fit well provided he is all the time in something like a fetus position and he doesn't move much. He cannot stretch or lie down in such a way so as to have at least an inch of space between himself and the sides of the bed. Dogs sometimes sleep in a stretched position and do need some extra space. Dogs also move during the sleep, swirl around, wiggle. So I had to get him a medium size which is really too big for him and the space where we keep it in our apartment but I am happy he has some extra space. Humans don't sleep in beds which are exactly their size. Standard beds even if a twin size have some extra space on all four sides because nobody stays in one position during the night. We absolutely LOVE this bed!!! It is extremely well made with separate zippered compartments for the bolster and bed padding. This makes it very easy to wash the cover and not the padding. We felt this bed greatly reduced his symptoms and made his last years much more comfortable. At a certain point we ordered a replacement cover for the first bed. It was still in such great condition when he passed that we could not get rid of it. Our new puppy found the bed and claimed it as her own. We decided to get a new cover for her along with another bed, so she had one in each room. We got the Medium size originally for a 35 LB older dog. The puppy is currently 20LB, but will probably be 35-40 LB as an adult. This has provided plenty of room for both dogs.Joan B.

My dog loves his new dog bed. He was so excited to walk and lay on it. I really loved the thickness of the mattress because I knew that it was truly providing my dog a comfortable bed to sleep. This bed is soft and my dog seems to find it comfortable. It’s a good neutral color that blends nicely into my living room. The downside is that the cover cannot be removed for washing, but for the price, I guess I can vacuum the fur off and spot clean to make it last long enough. They advise this as a good size for large breed dogs, including Golden Retrievers (this is specifically listed on the packaging). My Golden is small for her breed – she was the runt of her litter – and this bed is just barely big enough for her (see pic). If you have a large Golden or other 60 lb breed, this “large size” bed may not accommodate them.CBTX
Got this bed a substitute in a pick up order. I allowed the substitute bc the reviews were good. I will be returning it now that I’ve seen it. The bumper edges are great and filled with a thick lining so they feel comfortable for a large dog. The actual bed part is very thin and my 60lb dog will basically be on the floor. I have bought dog beds that support her weight, but this one will not. Waste of money. Will return for a refund.A

My miniature dachshund would give this bed 5 stars. He seems to settle in immediately when I put him on it (it's a little high so for his 3 inch legs to climb on). I only wish they made these snuggle beds with less of a crease around the inner circle. He will occasionally get his legs stuck in the crease and is unable to pull himself out because his legs sink so far into it.. BUT, I have other Bessie and Barnie beds and appreciate the quality of them all. I chose this one for the fabric and the center cushion seems to be a lot thicker than other off brand of snuggle beds out there.smulhearn
My dogs love these beds! I don't like the thick furry fabric covers because the furry stuff gets stuck in the zipper when taking it off or putting it back on after washing. The shorter fuzzy fabric works best. I would like to see a filler that could be washed as well but until that day – these are the best beds. We've had it for a couple of months, and my Anatolian Shepherd (about 70 pounds) loves it. Some of the other reviews mention it not having a zipper, but mine has one to remove the center padding and a separate one to remove the outside ring's padding. It hasn't flattened down much at all, so it's still pretty comfy to lay on with her. It feels super high quality. I've washed it about once every two weeks, and there doesn't appear to be any wear from the washing machine and dryer like our other dog bed.Lydia

This is a great bed for the price. It is somewhat liquid resistant, so if you catch it quickly it won't sink into the bedding itself (the foam) which is much more than I expected. The foam is quite firm but soft enough to be pleasurable to lie on and my two 13 year old dogs have taken to them quickly. I wish there had been other fabric choices but for the price,I'm not going to quibble. I would highly recommend. My dogs are not diggers so I can't speak to how it would hold up if your dog likes to scratch at the bedding trying to adjust it.Colleen
