My fury furiend loved this new dog food paired with his normal dog food. He was very excited at dinner time and breakfast to try something new. I liked that this was designed for puppies and I love the little chunks of food that make it easier for my pup. My puppy doesn’t struggle with digestive issues all the time . However, he does get an upset tummy a few times a week followed by lots of nasty farts. I love the thought of feeding my pup a probiotic coated kibble to help with his upset tummy. I have a corgi who is extremely sensitive to certain food. She has a chicken intolerance and will vomit, along with having loose stool. We tried so many foods, we even tried purine pro plan, but it didn’t work for us. I saw a review with another corgi having success with this kibble and thought why not try it. Her stool is amazing! We can actually pick it up because it’s solid. We’re so happy to have found this. However, we do wish there were different non-chicken flavors for the kibble. I wanted to write a review because most are from a free sample which, IMO, doesn't give a whole picture. A couple years ago my dog was having a lot of digestive issues, so my vet recommended we switch to one of the brands vets always recommend. I didn't like the brand or the ingredients. I feel like there is a lot of bias in the pet food industry to those brands. i can't even provide a good explanation why I dislike them so much but I do and didn't want to feed my dog it. After looking at other digestive lines, this seemed the most comparable to what was recommended, and I felt much about the ingredients. She did great on it. My dog enjoyed the taste. Her poops we're consistent and normal. I didn't have issues with a mess or too many crumbs. My only compliant is the bag doesn't close up tight so I stored it cereal storage container- it fits perfectly in the oxo or rubbermaid ones. I had no idea this line came in a senior blend. I would have loved to feed her that I don't remember that being available when we first switched to this. My dog is about 12 and been having health issues this last year and the digestive issues have been getting worse. I don't believe it's the food as she ate it without issues for a long time. Unfortunately, my vet recommended a prescription food this week. I'm sad I'm not able to feed her this anymore. I think this is a good food to try if your dog is experiencing minor digestive issues. Fromm is a great food. I feed two kibbles, including Fromm Surf and Turf as my primary. The second kibble has been Orijen but due to the cost I would like to change it, so I decided on Fromm Heartland Gold due to my long term success with Surf and Turf. Well, the dog refused to eat the Fromm Heartland. She would pick through her food for the meat topper, and some of the smaller Surf & Turf–but she would not eat the Heartland. After five days of this I went to my independent pet shop and bought the Orijen. My neighbor will get the Fromm Heartland as I can not return an open bag. Sully had raw spots all over from constantly chewing and scratching himself. We moved him up to Purina Pro Plan and still had to supplement with a prescription of Apoquel for itching at the cost of about 2.00 dollars a day for his size and it still was an issue. We switched to Fromm Grain Free large dog last month and it's been a miraculous turn around. No pills, minimal itching, coat has healed up. This is a high quality product, I would recommend this to everyone. This is an expensive dog food but is far cheaper in the long run with the dogs overall health and the elimination of medicine.HippieDave

I have just found out from many vets that grain free dog food and signature specifically has been in a study that has shown it leads to heart failure in dogs. That being said I have been feeding this to my dog for 4 years and she just was diagnosed with heart disease and was in heart failure. I had to put her down at just 5 years old. PLEASE FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR DOGS DO NOT BUY THIS! After 3 years of horrible itching solved only by Apoquel meds, I am extremely happy to say that my dog is off the Apoquel as well as all other required supplements and ailments just to prevent itching so much (coconut oil, probiotics, etc). He just gets Zignature Duck dog food twice a day and he itches MAYBE 2 minutes in a 12 hour period. That's beyond incredible. Worth every cent. Our dog seems to be allergic to a bunch of stuff resulting in problems with his ears and feet. Tried him on this as it’s free of chicken and beef after much consideration of the recent stories about the risks of grain free food. At the end of the day we decided the incidences of health problems were sufficiently low to be not significant. Dogs seem to like it and one of them’s a fussy eater.

Fans of Fromm for many years, we started him on Fromm Gold Large Breed Puppy, but after two months the skin issues hadn't abated (otherwise, he was doing great, though!). Undecided. Really, the dog is, not me. It can be a slow (or painful) process to transition a Great Dane to a new food. I would not be reviewing so soon but for the "chance to win $1000" because, right now, she has diarrhea. We are very satisfied with Fromm's – we started with puppy and have graduated to adult small breed and have nothing but positive things to say. He's a short haired and his coat still feels like when he was a puppy which I solely attribute to the quality ingredients in Fromm's. Fromm's isn't the cheapest but PetFlow has great prices and ships free if we order in larger quantities so we usually just do 30lb at a time (although if PF included Fromm's in the auto ship discount program then we'd definitely do it!). On a per meal basis it's not too expensive and probably doesn't hurt that he's 14lbs and doesn't eat a ton. We began using Fromms for large breeds dog food when we were switching from puppy food to dog food because our black lab, Kona, was having sever diarrhea every time she ate any food. We tried about a dozen other dog foods with no luck when my sister, who owns a Havenise that also experienced digestive issues recommended Fromms dog food. As soon as we switched to Fromms large breed dog food Kona's digestive issues went away. We started our two month old female standard poodle on Eukanuba chicken puppy and had mixed success. The dog food she was on at the breeder seemed quite successful but the vet recommended Eukanuba. Dog has never relished the food but will eat it mixed with a few tablespoons of canned food. Any other treats added to diet will cause diarrhea. On the plus side, she has grown appropriately and is not over or under weight. I have had trouble buying new bags. Lack of supply from Eukanuba says food store. My 4 month old King Charles Spaniel doesn't touch this dry food without Royal Canin wet puppy food mixed in it. She used to run to the bowl and finish the food in seconds, after I switched the dry food to this one, she smells it and then walks away. When she does eat it with the wet food I've noticed she's starting scratching and itching like she has fleas or a skin condition although she has been given Bravecto and the vet said her skin is fine so it must be the food. We really love this Calico Critters Caramel Dog Family. My 5 year old loves dogs so this was the perfect fit for her. It comes with a father, mother and daughter, and baby.
