I bought this for a gift. My package arrived quicker than I thought it would. Upon opening the box, the chicken was covered in foam peanuts. I had to carefully unbury him so as not to disturb the emotional supportiveness. He came out perfect! The test squeak…s were awesome! My friend is going to love him!!Glenda S.
I bought 8 of these for friends who were flying out of town for the holidays because we all know how stressful it is!!! I’m sure it will crack everyone up!!! I did make a little mask for each of them to wear so they wouldn’t get tossed off the plane!!! If it makes everyone laugh, then I’m thrilled and couldn’t be happier with my purchase!!!Patricia B.

Amazing quality. Best option out there for registering and providing identification for your service animals!Lillian T
Everything was fast and as promised. Only one small quibble — whoever made the badge resized the photo I sent to fit their template and it stretched the proportions of the image. I could have sent a photo that was exactly right if the info had been provided. It changes the appearance of the dog and I would prefer to have a more accurate image.Lyna C
I have had my service dog for two and a half years and have only had one person in a restaurant challenge me to him being a service dog. He is a male German Shepherd, 90 lbs., and can be very intimidating from the looks. Recently trying to move, ALL of the rental firms turned me down strictly because of the breed of dog I have. After getting this badge, I challenged them back and was rented a place the next day. These badges truly help but should ONLY BE given to those of us who can provide documentation the dog is trained or is being trained. Banfield or most trainers are willing to sign a paper for a nominal fee.coehorn99
7. Emotional Support Dog – Esa Evaluation Letter

Product Details:
Reviews:
I enjoyed using this service because of how easy it was, and it did not make me feel as though there was something wrong with me. I already know I have some issues that need to be worked through going about this ESA process has only heightened my awareness of others people opinions of who "deserves" an ESA and whether or not they think its "legitimate". This worked for my landlord and that is all that matters to me. I was able to buy a puppy and house her in our rental condo which does not accept pets. Working through the puppy teething stage will be harder than obtaining this ESA.Sarah H.
My mother died and I needed to rush this letter to attend a memorial service if my ESA K9. When I had the interview therapist showed no remorse or concern about my situation. She appeared to be more of a robot conducting an interrogation. Once the process was done, I found out that the airlines needed an additional form which required another $75. Once I received that form and submitted it to the airlines, they were unable to verify the credentials of the family therapist. It took 4 agents over four hours to finally verify this qualifications. Because of my concern I contacted my medical Dr of 20 years and when submitted his form and it was excepted within five minutes and it was free. The whole experience caused extreme anxiety and unnecessary stress and I was given an email stating that that my contact was unacceptable and I was on warning. I was several times during conversations with the airline to remain quiet because the authorities scan all calls and the first form seemed extremely questionable because this person did not know me or ever provide therapy for my conditions. Fear is a strong thing and that is what this letter and forms has turned into from this company. My therapist and Doctor can prove better why I have this special dog. The information from the ADA should be shared with these professionals rather than those with questionable credentials.Jeffrey
Joanne put me at ease when conducting the letter interview. I learned more helpful information that made the whole experience worth while. I have so much peace of mind knowing that I don't have to worry about having my dog with me, especially in my home when HOA has dog size restrictions. So much anxiety resolved knowing I don't have to worry about loosing my best friend.

Dog language is so different from human language. So many time we think and say one thing and the dog hears and thinks something completely different. When this happens we get flusterated because the dog does not follow our instructions and may even act in a behavior that makes up upset. We do not know how to get our point across to the dog nor know how to stop the annoying behavior our dog has gotten go at. This book has your answers. These solutions work if we follow the instructions and are determined to follow through. There is no need to feel flusterated when you have an answer. To be able to see what we are actually saying in dog language, no wonder the dog acted as he did. Well worth every dime!!!!mylittlekitty
This book is very thorough. He has great advice and many answers to questions a new puppy owner needs. My husband and I decided to get 2 Dobies and we were learning by trial and error. They are 4 months old now and we really don't want to mess up, so we refer to the book often and have been taking them to training classes. However, I really think the instructors have a copy of this book because I see similarities except Brandon explains the why of how we train the pups. He also tells stories of the many dogs he's trained and how they react sometimes with amusing outcomes. Try to catch his Lucky Dog TV series, worth a watch and you will get hooked.4theDog
This by far has just what you need to train your dog and covers all areas. If you take the time to teach your dog you both will be happier. Remember any dog can be trained no matter what behavior problem. Dont forget to have those healthy treats ready for his/her reward. Great booklivelifenow

Pat Miller simplifies positive, dog friendly training and inspires owners to try it. This is a must-have for anyone who wants to have a great training relationship with their dog. Pat Miller is a monthly contributor of Whole Dog Journal. Her writing is always eye-opening, enjoyable, and extremely helpful.actionalley8
I found the first edition some years back, when we adopted an abused golden retriever. (Not just neglect/etc.; she'd been whipped, beaten, choked & kicked; had a front tooth broken off; even had some shallow stabs on the sides of her neck.) Although I'm not a trainer by profession, on my own I'd previously trained, certified & then qualified as handler for our last golden, as a Delta Society therapy dog. Before we adopted the abused (our current) golden, I realized I'd need better knowledge/skills. I went back to the books &, essentially, did a survey of everything out there in the field of dog training. (I'd used a 70's-based method of lure training for our previous dogs.) Doing my survey, I looked @ everthing I could find. I either bought (& read it) or skimmed it (& rejected it as a purchase) while in a bookstore/library. All the "Idiots' Guides", "How To"; if it was out there, I took a look at it, because I knew what I was getting into w/our soon to be adoptee. (Rescue had a behaviorist coming in to work w/the dog, due to behavioral problems.) Result: in 2005, Pat Miller's "Power of Positive Dog Training" was the single best book on training available. Unquestionably the best. Miller is well-organized, comprehensive yet succint (important to me, as my background was all math/science type stuff). While quite thorough, Miller's information is available to anyone who cares enough to read the book. No previous experience in psych, teaching or anything else is necessary to absorb, then apply, her material. (And the only reason I use past tense is due to the fact that she's since revised it. I have a copy of this edition also; it's even better.) She includes basic concepts for dog owners, both experienced & new. She describes the three types of dog training: corrections (punishment); lure (treats); & operant conditioning (what dumb name, I thought; actually means the dog "operates" on her environment — she controls treat access; anyway, this is clicker training). Miller continues, with a six week training program, followed by suggestions for specific tougher problems. Before she even starts Chapter 1, Miller lists her Four Principles, which will give you a flavor of the book; [paraphrased; my remarks inside brackets]: 1. All living things tend to repeat behaviors which are rewarding; they avoid those which do not. [Note that punishment is not mentioned; merely the absence of reward.] 2. Your dog already knows everything you want to teach her. [Sit, speak, lie down, etc.] 3. One command word means only one thing to your dog. ["Down" cannot mean "get off the couch", "get your feet off me" & "lie down". ] 4. Think "What do I want my TO DO", not "What I want my dog to stop doing". For dog owners, "Power of Positive Dog Training" would be the #2 book to put on your reference shelf, second only to "Culture Clash" by Jean Donaldson. ("CC" is not a training book per se, & has no comparable peer that I've seen. "CC" is unique.) If you've hung in this long, you deserve a laugh; a blonde Q & A: Q — What do you call a smart blonde? . . . . . . A — A golden retriever, of course…jharrold

How smart is your dog? if you've ever wondered what is really going on inside your dog's head, here is your chance to find out. in this revised and updated version of this perennially popular book, psychologist and prizewinning trainer stanley coren provides a startling view of the intelligence of our oldest and closest animal companions. do dogs really think? are they conscious in the same way humans are? what is the nature of canine memory? do they have feelings such as guilt, loyalty, and jealousy? do they experience joy and sorrow? drawing on scientific research that has stood the test of the past decade, interviews with top breeders and trainers, and his own personal observations as a lifelong dog lover, stanley coren speculates on these and many other fascinating questions about man's best friend. he offers practical tips on how to evaluate your dog's body language and understand the sophisticated "language" of a dog's bark, and how to tailor a training program to suit your dog's special needs. here, too, are the famous, controversial lists and rankings of more than 100 breeds for obedience and working intelligence, as well as for specialized tasks such as hunting, home security, and companionship. rich in wit, wisdom, and anecdote, the intelligence of dogs is a book that will bring you a greater understanding and enjoyment of the habits, antics, and abilities of your dog.
Reviews:
Stanley Coren did an excellent job on this update to a previous edition. When assessing the intelligence of different breeds of dogs, he relied on input from Obedience judges, Veterinarians, and AKC records. A lot of thought and research, makes this a much more than one individuals opinion.rhogan2011

It works! I've been using the techniques in this book to train our 6 month old Labrador puppy to come to a whistle since she was 4 months old. I am a petite woman with a small voice, and want to be able to recall her at the beach where it's loud and she can get far away from me. I bought an Acme dog whistle which I love. I'm proceeding very slowly and using treats like roast chicken, just like Pippa says, and I am so pleased with the results. Takes patience not to progress too quickly! Worth it.Fern
18. Training The Best Dog Ever: A 5-Week Program Using The Power Of Positive Reinforcement [Book]

Product Details:
Training the best dog ever, originally published in hardcover as the love that dog training program, is a book based on love and kindness. it features a program of positive reinforcement and no-fail techniques that author dawn sylvia-stasiewicz used to train the white house dog, bo obama, and each of senator ted kennedy’s dogs, among countless others.training the best dog ever relies on trust and treats, not choke collars; on bonding, not leash-yanking or reprimanding. the five-week training program takes only 10 to 20 minutes of practice a day and works both for puppies and for adult dogs that need to be trained out of bad habits. illustrated with step-by-step photographs, the book covers hand-feeding; crate and potty training; and basic cues—sit, stay, come here—as well as more complex goals, such as bite inhibition and water safety. it shows how to avoid or correct typical behavior problems, including jumping, barking, and leash-pulling. plus: how to make your dog comfortable in the world—a dog that knows how to behave in a vet’s office, is at ease around strangers, and more. in other words, the best dog ever.

Helpful in retraining an adult dog. Love our shelter fur baby!me467
I have not trained a puppy since 1994, things have changed! This book had some great ideas examples and pictures. Some of it is complicated or difficult to do. This trainer is a stay at home person, I dont have time to hand feed every meal of kibble. Its hard to retrain old habits, like only use the dogs name for good, not when they are doing something bad. So got a good start w puppy but will be going to a live trainer to help train me.sheehcari
Started reading the book and wish I would have known about it and bought it before i got my chihuahua puppy. I could have started out right from the start. A must for any dog owner ,Informative,enhayne-0
I HAD an out of control Pomeranian! He is so cute and he is my baby. I let him run all over me to be perfectly honest. I made excuses for his behavior like: "That is just how Pomeranians are!" "Oh, that is just his personality!" "It is because he was a Rescue dog!" Well…Shame on me! I have learned a lot from Cesar's books. I now own ALL of them! I was to the point where I was trying to decide if I could keep my Pom, after five years of drama. I decided to get Cesar's books and give it a try. I am fully committed to being the strong calm assertive person that my Pom, Taz, needs now and things are progressing wonderfully! I made so many mistakes! Feeling sorry for him, baby talk, bribery, screaming at him, letting him do whatever he wanted as long as I had some Peace for a few minutes, letting him lead on walks. Taz had Separation Anxiety through the roof, Dominance issues, jumping issues, barking, whining, begging, peeing on my bed when he was mad because I left him, etc, etc. I was literally keeping him because I was scared if I tried to find him a new home someone would have him put down! I Love him but he was making me Crazy and I was crying every day! The Vet said he is healthy and he just needed more attention! Sure! Let me quit my job and see if being homeless Helps! When I watched Cesar on the television I always thought "Great! You can do it but I can not. You must have some magic skill!" I have had dogs in the past and have not had issues training them and they were well behaved. This time around though my youngest child is moving out and I made Taz my replacement baby. HUGE mistake! I am working very hard to correct the error of my ways and Taz is responding extremely well. He is learning that I am the Boss, not him. He looks to me now to see what I want him to do. He is so much calmer. He does not cry when I leave any longer. Things are still a work in progress but Taz and I are both much happier now!angi824
