I like your product but you need to adjust packaging for small dogs. I only have one Shih Tzu/Yorky. I can never get through a whole bag in 10 days. It’s far too many. It’s very wasteful. I’ve also tried dog joy… Whether it’s the bacon or the chicken snacks there is far too many unless that’s the only thing I’m ever feeding him. My dogs are not new to treats, occasionally I will even make them their own dinner from the meat we are cooking. This treat though had my dog literally drooling! I will let my dog pick her treats or play toys but when I grabbed the little green the one that was green and white looking like a tooth brush, and finally the one that looked like a alligator to my surprise I had accidentally ordered these(when I got home my duvet guy as just leaving a package). We usually have a mix of kibble and treats for during training sessions. My shepherd usually gets over them very quickly. These salmon treats are the one that is still high value. They cost more but are defintitely worth it. The salmon ones are more smelly than chicken but I can see the difference in all dogs that I have given these to.macho_nair
Turns out that my picky little Chihuahua/Papillon mix loves these treats. Which make me happy with all the wonderful ingredients. She usually snubs her nose at treats unless it is table scraps. But for the last few months she has been on a Dog Food/with the occasional Dog Treat diet. She is a little over 11 pounds and it is putting stress on her short little legs. If you dog is a little picky I would definitely go and get a bag of these great Blue Wilderness train Treats, Chicken Jerky is her absolute favorite. They do cost a tiny bit more but it is better than buying the cheaper ones that she won't eat at all that aren't as good for her. Oh yeah and the BEST PART is: That this product is Grain Free. They’re also small enough to carrying a good amount in your hand while on the go training or during an event. 🐶These are less that 3 calories per treat and easy on their stomachs. They are also free of corn, wheat, soy and poultry. These are one of my dogs favorites, she loves them enough to listen when we work on training. They have quite the strong smell but it makes it perfect for interactive feeders and/or snuffle mats. The only downside of these treats are the inconsistent batch consistencies. The bag I purchased before was very soft and chewy but the second 1 pound bag I purchased, the treats were harder which wasn't my favorite for my dog. Either way she loves them but prefers when they are softer. It's a bit pricey but don't mind because they make her happy, I do cut them in half since my dog swallows the treats more than she chews. All in all, I highly recommend them because they were the first treats to consistently motivate my dog.hillary.n
My boy, Max, loved these treats! Though they were a little small for his medium size, and he is just past ten years old so I didn't use them for training per se, however they were the perfect distraction while he got his nails cut and paw fur trimmed. When I get him to focus on treats he's less likely to fuss. Also, he loved them as an "after dinner mint", minus the mint. He loves it when I flick them in his direction and he has to catch them. They were cute, tiny round bites, they weren't hard or too soft, not greasy and they didn't have any strong smell. I really liked seeing real beef as the number one ingredient and free of wheat, corn or soy. Another great thing about this brand are the many different flavors and great price. I'd definitely recommend, purchase or try the other flavors.

The idea of just 5 ingredients is a great idea. This review is for the oven baked paw’some peanut butter. Looking at the ingredients list: oats, peanut butter, dry whey, canola oil and natural flavor. Everything looks pretty harmless except for “natural flavor”, not sure what it really means but I will give them benefit of a doubt. But because one of my dogs is prone to cysteine stone he is unable to try this treat, he is on a restricted diet. So this review is base on my other dog’s reaction, she is a picky eater but love treats! The first time I handed her the treat she just sniffed it, did not take the treat. That’s already not a good sign, but maybe she just don’t want the treat at the moment (sometime she has mood swings). We tried new treats all the time when she sniff it and like it, she takes the treat right away. So my hope for this treat decreases. After some time passed I tried handing her the treat, again sniffed it but did not take it. Before giving up on the treat I did tried again with no success 😕. My final verdict for this treat is that it’s probably not for picky eater and not for dogs prone to cysteine stones. I really love the idea of using simple real Whole Foods. It is hard to find pet foods/treats that truly uses Whole Foods. Most pet products have ingredients that we either can’t pronounce or simply don’t know what it is. I really hope Merrick will make treats for dogs that are prone to cysteine stone or pets that have diet restrictions.miss.s
With only a few ingredients, this treat easily passed my ingredient inspection (it is shocking how many dog treats have unsafe ingredients in them!), and my dog quickly took to them! I put them inside of treat dispenser toys and they pose a nice challenge for my dog to work on. First. Per the AKC, It takes approximately 15 to 30 grams of garlic per kilogram of body weight to produce harmful changes in a dogs blood. That said, you have to feed your dog a lot of garlic cloves to kill Fido.Next, for those freaking out because they believe the product is actually somehow from China and mislabeled- consider the fact they have actually added Produced in Topeka, KS in big fat letters right on the face of the product. A quick search for slaughterhouses near Topeka Kansas brings up a pretty long list. In that China is a top exporter of pork and a bottom exporter of beef but the third highest importer of beef from the United States, its a far stretch to think that the beef is coming from China. In addition in the product ingredients it says Made in America with American beef. To add to that, if you start going down the list of ingredients and researching the top producers of those items, Chinas way down on the list except for the corn syrup which also mostly comes from the USA. If purchasing a product made in the USA is so important, here it is!To those writing that this product has been investigated by the FDA, I cannot find that anywhere. I did find that other items by the same manufacturer such as Gravy Train Skippy dog food Kibbles and Bits, were recalled in 2018, there is nothing current. If I am incorrect on this please provide the current information.Lastly,I completely agree that theres a lot junk food fillers in these treats. While I did not purchase these treats personally, a bag was given to me. I will occasionally give one to my dog because she likes them and they are treats. For meat treats, these are my dogs favourite! She’s not picky when it comes to meat treats though, but she loves these. I buy them at Costco, and they’re not too badly priced, so these are what she gets, and she loves them! She literally dances in circles whenever I take one out. My dog is only 15 lbs, and if I give her more than half a stick, she gets nauseous, and throws up. So, I can only give her half a stick. I break it up into about 6 pieces, and I try to make it feel like she’s getting a lot, with half a stick broken up into pieces, then she won’t bark at me for more. It’s just a little dog psychology.. haha. If you just give the dog the entire piece, like my parents do, the dog thinks it hasn’t gotten very much. Tabitha has food allergies to chicken and tuna so when I had to start giving her daily medication I didn't have a lot of options. I was crushing it in turkey baby food but she got tired of it and wouldn't take the whole dose. I tried pilling her with the pills alone but they clearly didn't taste good. Kitty Sapphire has sensitive stomach issues and needs her meds minus potential allergens. After much research I located these to trial run. The moment I opened one of the pods she began crying and standing on hind legs to get to the pocket. She absolutely loves them so med intake is easy. They come two to a pack, but for a cat that translates to plus 4, because the pods are large. I've found I can slice them like bread and make numerous pockets or treat pieces efficiently. I am 100% sold on these and even if Kitty Sapphire no longer needs meds I will purchase for treats.D.G.

This was a new biscuit for my hyper boy to try and although it's not his favorite he seems to be ok with em. I think the part he don't like is the size the biscuits are. My boy is a medium sized dog but in my opinion the size in this bag would be great for a large dog. They do have the crunch factor for sure. They come in a resealable bag to keep them fresh and lock out any moisture. The biscuits are made with the finest ingredients and are 100% grain free, no corn, wheat or soy as well as no artificial preservatives, colors or flavors. All in all if they were smaller I think he'd enjoy them more. Included is a picture of my hamlet Axel Rose and a snap of the actual size biscuit they are. The Blue Buffalo Wilderness Trail Treats does not have any particular smell; its consistency is just right. They are not too soft, but not too hard either, the out of my five dogs 3 of them liked these treats; Blue Buffalo Wilderness Trai is square-shaped, and the perfect size for medium to large breeds. I have a pit, a Yorkie, a morkie, a Maltese, and a corgy; the little ones tend to hide the big treats, while the big dogs eat them immediately; in the case of these treats, as expected, my pit corgie and morkie, ate them right away, and seem to like them a lot. The other two dogs hid the treats under the bed and kept growling to whoever got close to the hiding place. The dog treats were smashed into a too small shipping bag resulting in dog treat crumbs and powder. This was done diliberately. The packer had to know the treats were being crushed as it forced the treats into the shipping bag. A box should have been used with proper cushioning. Totally dissatisfied..Irate customer
