I love the product – your packaging – AGAIN – is HORRIBLE. I ordered two of these and one arrived opened and about ten left in the the bottom of the container. The other container was in tack! I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the formula is the same as their cat joint relief product; the dosage and texture is just different between the two. So I buy this for my 2 cats and 1 dog to avoid having to buy two different products that are essentially the same thing. I crumble 1 treat into my senior cats' wet food each day and give 2 daily to my young dog for preventative purposes. Before starting on these, both of my cats had showed some natural decline in mobility, and one of them had torn his ACL tear when attempting a high jump. I didn't realize it at first but one day I just saw it. My 12 year old Westie has the energy mobility and life of a puppy all over again! Thank you Zuke's! I have four girls. A 10 yr Boston Terrier with severe arthritis in her hip and carries her leg on most days, a 1 year old blue healer, a 5 year old Maltese and Roxie the Westie that I bought the Zuke's for. I was very curious when I got this for my pup because this is a unique type of dog treat that is great for dental health as well as allergies and the best part, all natural. I have never tried this brand before with Rosie but after reading more about the brand I love that all of Zesty Paws products contain only natural ingredients, and nothing artificial about it. My dog is a small beagle mixed breed but the bag says these are safe for small, medium and large breeds. This is a 25oz bag but it can be purchased in different sizes. These dental sticks will support the immune system, while relieving any seasonal allergies and also improving dental health. I was curious also about the special formula which contains EpiCor. This is antioxidants, fiber, protein, and vitamins. There is a hemp protein which provides omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids also supporting the immune system and helping to relieve any itchy or hot spot which I found fascinating because this is a supplement and medicine-free. With every treat, it helps to clear plaque and tartar from teeth as she chews, and has peppermint oil to eliminate bad breath. The only thing I was worried about was the peppermint oil because I don't care for peppermint taste so I had no clue how my dog would react to it but she seemed to not have a problem at all with it because she took it out my hand. We mainly use the product for calming purposes for our three dogs. We have a 3y8m old 67 pound German Wirehaired Pointer, a 3y5m old 55 pound Small Standard Goldendoodle, and a 1y3m old 16.5 pound Havapoo. The dental cleaning aspect is an added bonus. We don't give daily. We give two to the bigger dogs, and one to the smaller one, and they seem to calm the house just enough. These aren't a magic fix-all, but, for us, it helps our pups relax enough when they are worked up over something. They also smell nice compared to other dental treats out there. What we don't like is that they are too easy for my bigger dogs to eat. So if you are getting them to help with teeth cleaning, your dog might eat them too quickly and not benefit from chewing on it.
My dogs love them! I have 2 large dogs (155 lbs & 130 lbs) so I wish the sticks were bigger, but they just love them as a tasty, little snack. If I give them more than one treat, they always choose the calming dog chews first. I think it's even helped with their doggie breath too. I'm sure it helps with calming, but since I just give them one and because of their size, I'm sure they would need more for it to be really effective. So it's hard to say definitely if it's helped my pups with that, but I feel based on the ingredients that it should/does.Kristine P

I love the product – your packaging – AGAIN – is HORRIBLE. I ordered two of these and one arrived opened and about ten left in the the bottom of the container. The other container was in tack! So one container completely distroyed. Other items in the box were broken open: The box of Cat Food – 30 box count. Totally broken apart and all the cans were all about the box. And many dented! I am so thrilled with the results of this product. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed that the formula is the same as their cat joint relief product; the dosage and texture is just different between the two. So I buy this for my 2 cats and 1 dog to avoid having to buy two different products that are essentially the same thing. I crumble 1 treat into my senior cats' wet food each day and give 2 daily to my young dog for preventative purposes. Before starting on these, both of my cats had showed some natural decline in mobility, and one of them had torn his ACL tear when attempting a high jump. After just a few days of these treats, both cats showed greater mobility, and the one with the ACL injury was jumping again after a little over a week. After several weeks, he's moving like the young, athletic cat he used to be. Most importantly, nobody seems to be in any discomfort anymore. … I will just say, though, that this new advanced formula with collagen is much stiffer/denser than the regular formula without collagen, so crumbling the treats can be a little bit of a pain. I have a brave little mini doxie that would take on the meanest badger, but hates storms or loud bangs of any kind. I received this sample and was Eerie of it at first because my dog seem to like cheap, weird foods no matter what I buy them they like the cheapest of the cheap. They absolutely love these there's a ton of good stuff in it! I don't feel guilty giving it to them in between their meals. At first I was a little skeptical, my dogs are large (55 & 80 pounds) but these tasty little morsels were all they wanted. When I first received them I was sitting in the kitchen and called the dogs over, they came knowing there would be a treat. I opened the bag and started to give them a treat, my pitbull if almost blind and hard of hearing but here sense of smell does not suffer. She was gobbling these treats. I currently use this in rotation and may eventually use this over the original one. I still have a tub of the orange one left. How would you decide on it? If you are using an existing pro+prebiotic, I suggest you use this one as the orange one already has probiotics. The hemp elements provides great ingredients not found (or easily added) as a supplement. For example, apple cider vinegar can be added to your dog's meal (the orange one contains this). I like that this has Quercertin (nature's bendryl) and Taurine added. Work's great for itching (I live in the tropics, lots of mosquitos). There are also a lot of benefits of hemp seeds. In summary, if you are using an existing and good pre+probiotic, this is a better product to use than the orange one. However, I do suggest that you start to ween off the orange one if you are planning to transition to this. Your dog may react more differently than mine. Pup had loose stool as I changed it too fast. My girl has had bad allergies since I moved to Texas. Mainly skin allergies. She’s about 80lbs and she’s 12. She was taking apaquil daily and it worked however it’s expensive but not only that taking long term allergy meds can actually put her at higher risk of yeast or other fungal skin infections. So that’s why I started this as an alternative. I wasn’t actually expecting to be able to not need the apaquil at all so hats a great surprise. My chihuahua Rebel is 13 years old and has been sneezing, scratching and had watery alot lately. I saw this product online when I was buying his water additive and figured I'd give it a try. The first time I gave it to him I broke the heart-shaped med in to three pieces. He of course snubbed his nose at it, but after several sniffs and quick licks he made all three pieces disappear pretty quickly. He's been taking it twice a day for about a week now and I can see a difference in him. Not only is he not scratching and sneezing as much, but his overall demeanor has also changed. My dogs ate it right out of my hand. I was surprised as all get out. When they don't want it, I put it in the empty cat food can that needs to be washed out and I squash them and they get mixed in and stuck in the bottom of the short can and they lick and lick to get it out. Don't judge me about the can, they have never cut their lips or tongue.
