10:30 PICNIC Begins

 

Hotdogs, Chips, Funnel Cakes and more – AVAILABLE ALL DAY [Tent]

A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit Dachshund rescue

 

Nail Clipping Booth - AVAILABLE ALL DAY [Tent]

–                    Staffed by Bark Boutique located in Greensboro. Are your dachshunds impossible to manicure?

–                    Bring them to our Nail Clipping Booth and get a paw-rrific manicure. A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit Dachshund Rescue.

 

Kissing Contest  and Wieners Bobbing for Wieners - 11:00 a.m. [Tent]

-                    Is your dog a good kisser? Now is your chance to prove it. Judged by audience applause!

-                    Dachshunds are not ‘water dogs’ unless going in the water involves recovering FOOD! Do you think your Dachshund would be the fastest to retrieve a treat in water?

 

Dachshund Costume Contest – 11:30 a.m. [Tent]

-                    Come let your Dachshund strut their stuff in royal attire! Our celebrity Adopter Judges will be looking for the most unique and creative outfit!

-                    Following the announcement of winners our ‘Superlatives’ will be chosen –Largest, Smallest (adult), Most Unique Trick, Most Colorful, Traveled Farthest and The Rosie - Oldest.

 

Ingram Adopter Photo – 12:30 p.m. [To be announced]

    -      All who adopted from Jim and Leslie Ingram please gather for a “family portrait”.

 

Santa Photos – 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. [Inside Castle]

-                    Our very own Almost Home member Jim Ingram will be available for early Santa photos.

-                    Also known as Rescue Santa and the best Santa around, Jim and photographer Robin Underhill

will be taking Christmas photos of your pets and/or family, so get a jump on the holiday season now.

 

Fashion Show – 1:00 p.m. [Castle Moat Bridge]

-                    Featuring classy canine outfits by Pawsh Pet Boutique.

Silent Auction Ends at - 1:30 p.m. (must be present to win auctions) [Inside Castle]

-                    A Silent Auction to benefit Dachshund rescue. All proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to benefit Dachshunds in need. LOTS of must see items! Cash or check only.

  

Wiener Races – 1:30 p.m. [Wide Bridge]

-                    Which wiener will go the distance?  Races will be done in divisions - Minis, Tweenies, Standards, Seniors and Cart dogs! We will do as many heats as necessary for each division! Trophies for each division will be awarded! Be sure to sign up at registration table.

-                   A rescue society of independent dachshund rescuers who rescue dachshunds and dachshund mixes. This organization is centered around a general medical fund to assist with extra expenses outside of normal vetting paid for by each rescuer.
