Are your dachshunds impossible to manicure? Bring them to our Nail Clipping Booth and get a paw-rrific manicure. A portion of the proceeds benefit Dachshund rescue. Specialty Vendors – AVAILABLE ALL DAY [Lower Level of the Castle] - See list on back of the program of our many specialty vendors. Kissing Contest - Is your dog a good kisser? Now is your chance to prove it. Winners chosen by audience applause. Wieners Bobbing for Wieners - 11:30 a.m. [Games and Events Lower Tent] - Dachshunds are not “water dogs” unless going in the water involves recovering FOOD! Do you think your Dachshund could be the fastest to retrieve a treat in water? Dachshund Costume Contest – 12:00 p.m. [Games and Events Lower Tent] - Come let your Dachshund strut his/her stuff in royal attire! Our celebrity Adopter Judges will be looking for the most unique and creative outfit! Superlatives – 12:30 p.m. [Games and Events Lower Tent] - ‘Superlatives’ will be chosen – Largest, Smallest (adult), Most Unique Trick, Most Colorful, Traveled the Greatest Distance, and The Rosie – Oldest. Silent Auction and Raffles End - 1:00 p.m. [Inside Upper Level of Castle] - A Silent Auction and Raffles to benefit Dachshund rescue. MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN SILENT AUCTION ITEMS. All proceeds from the Silent Auction benefit dachshunds in need. LOTS of must-see items! Cash or check only. WINNERS ANNOUNCED PROMPTLY AT 1:05 p.m. IN THE GAMES AND EVENTS LOWER TENT. Wiener Races – 1:30 p.m. [Games and Events Lower Tent] - Which wiener will go the distance? Races will be done in divisions - Minis, Tweenies, Standards, Seniors, and Mixed breed dogs! We will do 3 heats of 5 per division ~ so sign up early! Trophies for each division will be awarded! Be sure to sign up at NC Wiener Roast t-shirt table.
